Another training session ‘Age Appropriate Pedagogy’ new has launched at Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages (Sam SIFL ) Tempus Centre March 2016

Sam SIFL Tempus DeTEL (544161-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-UK-TEMPUS-JPCR) team has adopted a 20 hour face to face teaching and 20 hours on-line independent learning programme for 1st year MA students and started an experimental piloting course from March 1, 2016. The course sessions cover 3 units of the module ‘Age appropriate pedagogy’. The entire course is expected to last until the end of June with the students’ assessment of the module at the end.

Project of Pedagogical engineering center at SamSIFL

During the training course at Caen University (October 2014), the WG members had an opportunity to get to know the possibilities to enhance the efficiency of LMS, e.g. MOODLE, by combining efforts of teachers elaborating their module on platform with those of specialists in the domain of Pedagogical Engineering/Engineering Pedagogy.

October 2014 mobilities outcomes

1.1. It is feasible to introduce a new MA programme in all partner institutions. However, the form this will take will vary. In most institutions the MA will be on an experimental basis, with full accreditation/approval sought later.

1.2. The federal/regional components in each country are different and so degrees of flexibility vary. The design of the programme will need to reflect this.

1.3. The overall name of the programme may also need to vary, although some thing similar to MA in Modern Language Teaching should be considered.....

Questionnaire results

Profile of respondents:

The survey was carried out among 38HEI teachers, 47 college teachers and 37school teachers. The total number of respondents is 122 teachers. There also was carried out on-line survey among 190 teachers of State University of World Languages and Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages.

The approximate quantity of genders of the respondents consisted of 45 percent male and 55 percent female teachers.

MOODLE online platform

MOODLE online platform was created: This system covers not only the course materials of the teachers involved in  the TEMPUS project, but also the whole staff of the institute and this news was warmly welcomed. Foreign specialists also expressed their positive attitude to the platform and it was designed for future use in preparing teachers and masters through distance learning.
