Workshops at Aston University

Two TEMPUS DeTEL Project working group members of SamSIFL Dehkanova Dilnoza and  Abdullaeva Lola visited Aston University to participate in the final meetings of the project within the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility project in March 7-22, 2017.

Participants from seven universities: SamSIFL and UzWLU (Uzbekistan), Voronej State Universiy, Tyumen State University, Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University (Russian Federation) and  Mikolayev State University and Kiev National University (Ukraine) took part in  the discussion and final meetings of the  project. The visit consisted of coordination meetings, observations, lectures, seminars and workshops. The workshops were run on the following topics:”Learning technologies”, “Action research”, ”Synchronous and asynchronous communication and learning”, “The role of spark in course and materials design”  by the project coordinator Dr. Sue Garton and professors of the University- Muna Morris Adams, Noor Hutoon, and other professors. During the visit, the participants observed different lessons to analyse how foreign languages are taught in England,  they visited the university libraries to become familiar with the conveniences and the studying conditions. Besides workshops, cultural activities also were organized, in particular a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon to Shakespeare’s birth place was arranged as well. At the end of closing session all members of working group were awarded certificates on participation in seminar-trainings. On March 18, the conference on CLIL was held at Aston University, where famous professors made presentations on this area.
